What estori is
estori lets you create personalized, illustrated storybooks starring your child, read them in the app, and order printed copies. Stories and illustrations are generated by AI. estori is an independent service operated personally by its founder; it is not yet a registered company.
Your account
You need an account to use estori. You must be an adult (the age of majority where you live) and you are responsible for what happens under your account. By uploading a photo you confirm you have the right to do so, for example because you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have the family's permission.
Acceptable use
Don't use estori to: upload photos of anyone without the right to do so; create content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, or that exploits or endangers a minor; attempt to break, overload, or abuse the service; or resell generated books commercially without our permission.
AI-generated content
Stories and illustrations are produced by AI. They can be imperfect or surprising, and similar prompts may produce different results. We add safeguards to keep content child-appropriate, but we can't guarantee perfection. Please review each story before sharing or printing it.
Subscriptions, credits and packs
Story creation runs on credits. The free plan includes one story a month and one character; paid plans (billed monthly via Stripe) include a monthly allowance; story packs are one-off purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Settings; you keep access through the end of the paid period. Packs are non-refundable once bought and their credits don't expire. Unused monthly allowances don't roll over.
Printed books and refunds
Printed books are one-off purchases, made to order just for you. You can get a full refund any time before your book enters production: email support@estori.ai as soon as possible after ordering. Once production has started, we can't cancel or refund the order, which is standard for custom print-on-demand. If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, email support@estori.ai within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem and we'll send a free reprint or a refund. Shipping is included in the price shown at checkout.
Who owns what
You own the personal content you put in: your child's name, the photo you upload (which we don't keep), and the descriptions you write. The stories and illustrations you generate are yours to read, share, and print for personal, non-commercial use. We own estori itself: the app, software, prompts, templates, and brand. To run the service, you grant us a license to process your inputs and store and display your generated content back to you.
Service availability
estori is a small, actively developed service. We may change, pause, or discontinue features. We aim for reliability but can't promise the service is always available or error-free.
Liability
estori is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the issue. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
Ending your account
You can stop using estori and ask us to delete your account at any time ( support@estori.ai ). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above when we do. Questions: support@estori.ai.
